Payment Methods
Use this page to view and manage payment types shown at checkout — add custom methods, edit descriptions, and set Active / Inactive. Built-in methods (Cash, Card, Gift Card, etc.) cannot be edited.
Open the screen: Sidebar → Settings → Payment Methods
Payment methods list
What it does
Paginated table of all payment methods for your tenant.
Step-by-step
- Open Payment Methods.
- Read the table or use pagination (default page size 10).
- Tap refresh (rotate icon) to reload.
- Tap Add Method to create a custom type (if permitted).
What the table shows

Protected methods (edit disabled)
Cash, Card, Shadow Card, Gift Card, Online Card, and any row with no restaurant_id.
Empty / loading
- Loading... while fetching
- No payment methods found when the list is empty
Add or edit payment method
What it does
Dialog to set method name, description, and (on edit) active status.
Step-by-step — Add
- Tap Add Method.
- Dialog Add Payment Method opens.
- Fill Method Name * — placeholder Enter method name (max 255).
- Optionally fill Description — placeholder Enter description.
- Tap SUBMIT (SUBMITTING... while saving).
- Success: Payment method created successfully.
Step-by-step — Edit
- Tap Edit on an allowed row.
- Dialog Edit Payment Method — change name, description, and Active switch.
- Tap SUBMIT.
- Success: Payment method updated successfully.
RESET clears the add form.
Built-in methods
You cannot rename or deactivate core system methods from this screen — only custom methods you add.
Common mistakes / FAQs
- Edit button greyed out. Row is a protected built-in method.
- Failed to save. Check required Method Name and try again.
