Security
Use Security in the sidebar to control who can do what in the admin portal and on POS. Create roles, then set permissions for each role. Assign roles to staff on the Staff screen.
Administrator screens
Only users with Roles and Permission access should change these settings. Wrong permissions can lock staff out of menus or expose sensitive data.
Recommended setup order
- Overview - you are here.
- Roles - create role templates (Manager, Cashier, etc.).
- Permission - tick what each role may view, create, update, or delete.
- Staff - assign a role to each employee.
Roles
Menu path: Roles
Add and maintain role names and active/inactive status. Open the permission matrix via the shield icon on a row. There is no delete — deactivate a role with Inactive instead.
Full guide: Roles.
Permission
Menu path: Permission
Configure the permissions matrix per role: Admin tab (back office) and POS tab (terminal). Open from Roles (shield) with the role pre-selected, or pick a role on this page.
Full guide: Permission.
Tips
- Roles and Permission are separate menu items — each needs its own Read access. The Security section hides if you have neither.
- Use least privilege — grant only modules someone needs daily.
- A new role has no access until you tick boxes on Permission and tap Save Changes.
- After changing permissions, ask staff to sign out and sign in so menus refresh.
- If a page is blocked, the user may see Access denied.
